BACKGROUND
Drawing is where my art journey started when I was young. Throughout my grade school years, I was one of those kids who was always doodling instead of paying attention.  Fun fact, something I pride myself on was getting my drawing chosen for the commencement book cover for my high school graduation, lol.  After high school, life got in the way for a few years and I stopped drawing for the most part until I went to college at the Illinois Institute of Art.  One of my courses was a drawing course and I really learned a lot from my professor. She wasn't afraid to be honest with me and she pushed me harder than I pushed myself which is rare for someone to do.  To this day, her wise advice is constantly running through my mind when I'm working on any sort of art project.
